Jess (Helen Tzoutis) is sure that Susie (Irena Huljak), the ex-wife of
her husband Matt (Sean Finnan), is suffering from manic depression, and
due to her condition wants to kill her - so when her hubby gets called
away on an emergency, Jess starts to panic, and that panic quickly leads
to her falling apart, to an extent that she tries to use black magic to
guard herself from Susie's attempt on her life - which only exists in her
head though. Then Edwin (Greg Russell Tiderington), Jess's best friend,
shows up, and she almost stabs him ... but his appearance immediately
calms Jess down. Incidently, Edwin is also Susie's brother, and he
suggests to invite her over to sort things out. Having come to her senses
once more, Jess agrees - bad idea, since Edwin and Susie have an agenda
very much of their own ... Nice and macabre short that might
not exactly end on a surprise note but features enough surprises along the
way to keep one guessing nevertheless. And a very atmospheric directorial
effort, a very creepy musical score and fine performances of all of the
involved make this a pretty good 15 or so minutes.
