Jungle guide Bob Rayburn (Chris Drake) takes boxing promoter Regan
(Howard Bryant) to the village of the Ganyika because Regan wants to hire
one of the tribesmen as prize fighter - however, once in the village,
Regan is confronted by Towando (Joe Adams), another tribesman whom Regan
has made into a prizefighter years ago and then dropped and left to
himself. Towando, who knows every dirty trick in the book when it comes to
fighting, quickly fights his way to chieftain of his tribe, and then he
wants to execute Regan ... Enter Sheena, who just cannot let that happen,
and she convinces everybody that Regan's fate should be decided in a
manhunt ... where she shows the whole tribe what a terrible hunter Towando
is when he follows the trail of Regan's shoes, which are worn by Sheena's
own chimp. Humiliated, Towando asks for forgiveness, and Bob and Sheena
promise to bring Regan, who's a crook after all, to the proper
authorities. Naive and far-fetched, this episode (just like
pretty much the whole series) still has a certain retro-charme to it. Of
course, you mustn't expect a classic of any kind, just light amusement ...
