Wayne (Mitch Vogel) is the school's best biology student - but he's
also an outsider because he's a hillbilly, which makes his teacher Andrea
Thomas (JoAnna Cameron) worry about him. But then he helps saving a local
pond that houses a big bunch of rare animals from the bulldozers, and
saves the life of the school mascot of a rival school some of his fellow
students stole and tried to pin on him - and suddenly he's vindicated in
the eyes of everyone. Isis, Andrea Thomas' superheroine-alter ego, has
very little to do in this one except save the boy from a bulldozer and
prevent an explosion in the end. As laudable as the green
message of this episode might be, it's also delivered with all the
subtlety of a sledgehammer, while the hillbilly character is little more
than an unintentional caricature, both of which is disappointing more than
anything else - and add to this a very cheesy narrative and directorial
effort and you are left with one weak TV show.
