Carrie (Sandra Vacey) has some issues with her body - basically she
thinks she's fat and ugly and therefore unlikeable. So her teacher Andrea
Thomas (JoAnna Cameron) comes up witht he idea for her to run for student
body president, to boost her self-image. But Carrie is convinced she can't
win on her own, so she pulls a publicity stunt by stealing a boat, ride it
out into the open sea and then call for help ... a stunt that doesn't go
as nicely as planned since there's a storm brewing while the boat starts
to leak. Luckily her teacher Andrea Thomas secretly is also superheroine
Isis (who's therefore also played by JoAnna Cameron), who has it in her
power to delay the storm. Thing is, she can't delay the storm and get
Carrie's boat back to safety at the same time ... and thus she calls in
superhero pal Captain Marvel (John Davey) for assist - and everything ends
happily. Featuring both Isis and Captain Marvel of course
boosts the camp factor of this episode, but that said, its actual plot is
about as far-fetched as it is silly and it tries to bring across its
message sledgehammer style, so not even good, old-fashioned superhero-camp
can save this one.
