In a way, we could all take a page out of Faye's (Augie Duke) book, she
has taken everything you know about dieting and yet eating right, and
about proper workout very seriously, with the consequence that she has
gone down to a size two in no time, and looks as fit as one can look.
However, she has become quite obsessed about everything, very much to the
disadvantage of her flatmate (Jillian Leigh), who doesn't share her ideas
about slimming oneself down to perfection ... A little piece of
dark comedy with definite horror undercurrents and a mean streak to it -
but also a perfect sense for satire, best exemplified by the cooking show
(hosted by director Olivia Saperstein and producer Dre Boulet) that runs
on the TV to accompany all the gruesomeness happening on-screen. But that
all of this hasn't just become a piece of mindless stupidity is thanks to
a viciously clever script and a directorial effort that knows when to hold
back to eventually let things unfold full effect. In all, the film is
disturbing for sure ... but also very entertaining!
