Somewhere deep in the jungle, a leopard is killing the natives, and
Ramar, jungle doctor (Jon Hall) and his assistant Ogden (Ray Montgomery)
investigate ... and soon find out that everything is somehow blamed on
Yvette (Suzanne Dalbert), a white woman living in the jungle with her
husband Gunther (John Mylong), who believes she is turning into a leopard
every full moon (and is therefore wearing a skimpy leopard dress). Ramar
and Ogden find that hardly possible and investigate further, while
Yvette's own brother thinks the whole thing is a set-up by her brother,
and one night he breaks her free from the cage Gunther keeps her in and
tries to get away with her - but on their way to the jungle, he is killed
by a leopard ... could it have been Yvette ?
Of course not, it actually was Gunther, who, desperately trying to keep
his wife from leaving the jungle (and him), used hypnotism and murder to
keep her with him ... but of course, in the end he gets his just dessert
while Yvette is finally escorted out of the jungle by Ramar and Ogden.
A woman turning to a leopard every full moon ?
Yes, this episode of Ramar of the Jungle is silly as
hell, but if you are into jungle trash, it's also great fun in a pulpy
sort of way - so you might be entertained despite (or because of) its
inherent sillyness.
