For this entry into On the Trail of UFOs, filmmaker Seth
Breedlove and host Shannon Legro head to Colorado, not only a state with a
massive number of UFO sightings but also home to many of the darker tales
of UFOlogy, including abductions and cattle mutilations. And it's also the
state with the highest density of military bases, which might account for
at least a number of UFO sightings, but also fans conspiracy theories of
its own - especially since unmarked helicopters are seen in the vicinity
of many of the cattle mutilations and areas of "high
strangeness", which might or might not be coincidence and might or
might not be of army origin. During their investigations, Breedlove and
Legro interview many eye witnesses, but also experts like MUFON state
director Katie Griboski, non-fiction writer Richard Estep and researcher
into cattle mutilations Christopher
O'Brien.
... and what goes for pretty much all of Seth Breedlove's documentaries
also goes here, whether or not you may believe in UFOs, you'll probably
find this movie rather interesting and informative, maybe even
fascinating, as Breedlove and company haven't set out to prove the
existence or non-existence of UFOs but to merely, in the refreshingly
old-fashioned original meaning of the word, document their findings while
looking for answers without any pre-set conclusions or wild theories as to
the origins of many a weird phenomenon. So in the end it's really up to
the viewer what to make with the information, but it's almost certain that
they have gathered some new facts along the way.
