Harry (John Giancaspro) from Schizophreniac
- The Whore Mangler is at it again - killing pretty much everyone
that is, and fucking his dead victims asses - at least he talks about it a
lot -, sometimes in drag, sometimes in weird makeup, sometimes in the
nude, always accompanied by his rubber doll. The police is on Harry's
trail though, so he has to hide with Otis (Pete Coleman), one of his
dealers, and probably the only guy stupid enough to invite a confessing serialkiller
to his place. Eventually, he has to pay for his stupidity, too, as Harry
kills Otis in cold blood when Otis refuses to help him torture and kill a
couple of prostitutes. After not much of a story that weirdly enough also
features Jesus (Ron Atkins) beating the living shit out of Harry, Harry
kills the cops (Garvin Lee, Nick Palumbo) trailing him, then fucks the
grave of his mother, who has abused him as a child ... For anyone
who believed it could not get any worse than Schizophreniac
- The Whore Mangler, this film is the living proof that it can: Deprived
of any proper storyline, the film moves from one killing to the next via
endless monologues of its lead, all of which feature dozens of expletives
in each phrase ... but while that is probably supposed to be offensive,
it's actually a cross between mind-numbing and annoyingly boring, and if
John Gancaspro's understanding of acting wasn't grunting each and every
line like a wrestler on speed, the constant use of
"motherfucker" and "fuck your ass" would actually be
the sweetest of lullabies due to its repetitiveness - actually Gancaspro's
performance is all that kept me
awake when watching the film. And despite the uninspired direction, the badly
written script and dialogue and the absolute lack of any highlights, Necromaniac's
lead Giancaspro is actually the film's main problem: He totally lacks the ability
to bring his character across as anything resembling a human being and
totally fails to make the viewer sympathize with him in the least -
something any lead character, despicable as he may be, in any movie should
be able to do for the whole film to work. A total waste of time and money.
