It's 10 years after the events of the original Meathook Massacre,
when people in the very area the killings back then took place people
start to disappear again. But this time meathook-toting masked Bubba
(Robert Lankford) and his clan - Mum (Dawna Lee Heising), Dad (Colby
Coash), Aunty Deb (Deborah Dutch), and sister Sissy (Jennii Caroline) -
are really careful to not be tracked down, like always removing the cars
of their victims from the scenes of abduction - they're just not always
quick enough, and one time a car with a definite meathook scratch on one
side ... and that gets Dan (Daniel Joseph Stier) all excited, as back when
he had lost his sister to the meathook slasher, and with his new clue he
hopes to find some closure. Thing is, Bubba and company aren't really fond
of nosey intruders, and they definitely outnumber Dan ... Breana
Mitchell, survivor of the original Meathook Massacre, will turn up
in a surprise role, too! Sure, Meathook Massacre II
won't be a film for everyone, but fans of yesteryears backwood slashers
with a grindhouse attitude to it are sure to love it, for its plot that
might be predictable but is unfolding in an entertaining way, for its
inherent gruesomeness but also its at times over-the-top campiness, and
for its genuine fun attitude, suggesting it must have been fun to make
which easily translates onto screen. Sure, even genre fans probably
won't call it a classic - but will be entertained nevertheless.
