El Radman (Lowell Gilmore) is the leader of some Karachi-based sect who
uses the power invested into him for good, and to ensure that the sect
doesn't fall into the wrong hands, he wants to make his son Eli (Steve
Stevens) his successor - however, there are evil forces who want to kill
Eli, so Radman sends his friend Michael Lanyard to his brother Shalmar
(Leonard Strong) to act as the boy's bodyguard. At Shalmar's though,
Lanyard meets Roger (Carl Milletaire), a guy posing as him, and not
knowing the real Lanyard, Shalmar takes both men prisoner. Then the real
Lanyard is saved by Lynn (Kristine Miller), an agent working for the other
side mistaking him for Roger - which is all the headstart Lanyard needs to
save Eli's life and bring the baddie's to justice (or worse) ... A
story that is so complex (at least in the context of a half hour crime
drama) that one almost fails to notice it doesn't make any sense at all,
the main point in question being why do the baddies send a Lanyard double
to Karachi instead of a regular hitman? That would have spared them a lot
of complications. The somewhat confused story aside though, this episode
is at least decently paced and rather entertaining as long as you don't
ask too much questions.
