Grandma (Debbi Tucker) has passed away not too long ago, and now Hailey
(Eden McGuire) and Kevin (Ben Richardson) come to check on their grandpa
(Jack C. Hays) - to find the house in disarray, and then they ask about
grandpa's housekeeper Rosa (Judy Triana) he gets very evasive, just
claiming he's "around" - whatever that might mean. He also
claims that grandma's just "a little dead", which again leaves
Hailey and Kevin clueless. And speaking of clueless, grandpa's nightly
ritual to fill up three glasses to distribute them round the table and
forbidding anybody to touch them until they're finished sure raises an
eyebrow as well. But to find out the story behind that, one only
has to touch one of the glasses - and live (or die) with the consequences
... There's not a lot happening in this short of roughly 15
minutes, and it seems even more of the movie's backstory is kept
completely in the dark - and both only contributes to the creepiness of
the film, it's the utter lack of action or explanations that creates its
atmosphere of unease, that gives one the indication that something's wrong
long before the movie's twist ending. And like in good old fashiones short
stories or indeed the best episodes of the classic Twilight
Zone, this twist ending really packs a punch, making this a
great watch.
