When hiking in the mountains, brothers Daisuke (Jiro Saigo) and little
Masaru (Hiroyuki Takano) stumble upon the latest Shocker headquarters
that's guarded by their monster-of-the-week, the starfish-shaped
Hitodanger (voiced by Michihiro Ikemizu), who promptly takes Daisuke
captive while Masaru can escape - pretty much right into the arms of
Hayato (Takeshi Sasaki), who's of course secretly Kamen Rider, and who has
long suspected Shocker activitiy in the area. He of course promises Masaru
to free his brother, and soon enough, he, his boss Tachibana (Akiji
Kobayashi) and befriended FBI agent Kazuya (Jiro Chiba) soon go to check
out Shocker's newest place - but Hitodanger proves to be a fierce opponent
who manages to defeat Kamen Rider, who somehow just vanishes down a
waterfall while Tachibana and Kazuya are captured and thrown into a cell
with Daisuke and a mysterious wanderer - who of course proves to be Hayato
in disguise. The four men crate some big ruckus in their cell for the
Shocker guards to intervene - and of course be overpowered, then our
heroes manage to escape the compound in Shocker uniforms before it comes
to a re-match Hitodanger vs. Kamen Rider, but by now Kamen Rider has
figured out Hitodanger loses some of his strength in water, so lures him
into water, and ... saves the world to live another day of course. Very
average episode to be honest, there's nothing here that hasn't been seen
before. Then again, at least the monster of the week looks pretty silly,
especially when it takes to flight. That at least counts for something -
if by no means for much.
