In an attempt to find himself, Henry (Alex Scarlatos) decides to cross
the desert on foot on his own - which sounds like a romantic enough idea
for a man his yet young age. However, as the days go on and he gets deeper
into the desert, the both physical and mental strain start to show more
and more, while worried phonecalls from his father (Timothy J. Cox) and
his grandmother (Shea Glasheen) remain unanswered. So will Henry really
succeed in finding himself or get lost in the process? A pretty
powerful little film, especially because it's not going for spectacle but
trusts the power of its impressive imagery and of small gestures, allowing
its audience to get into the protagonist's mindset that way, making both
his motivation and his ultimate desparation palpable. Now in all, this
might not be too uplifting a movie, as it has never set out to be, but
it's definitely worth a watch!
