Dollmaker Ted Morris (Shawn C. Phillips) is said to own a supernatural
doll, which attracts the attention of a couple of criminals, one of whom
(Nicholas Michael Jacobs) breaks into Ted's home when he's out to steal
the doll, figuring it might catch a handy sum on the black market.
However, he hasn't taken into account that the doll just might not want to
be stolen ...
Sure, this film is a tad predictable - I'd even go so far and say if
you've ever seen a doll horror movie, this one will not surprise
you. But that said, the predictability really works for this horror
miniature that manages to pack its story into less than five minutes,
without much in terms of frill (let alone backstory), instead it seems to
bank on the viewer's familiarity with the genre to properly create
suspense and set its jump scares just right for a truly enjoyable horror
ride.
