Flash Gordon (Steve Holland) and Dale Arden (Irene Champlin) track down
the spaceship of a couple of pirates (Michael Boyle, Ralph Winkler) to an
planetoid in the middle of nowhere, outer space. But while Flash walks
over to the pirate ship to attach a tracking device, the pirates head for
his ship and jump and tie up Dale, then they render returning Flash
unconscious ad let the radiation of the planet do the rest ... or so they
think, since Dale can free herself before long and close the hatch of
their rocket ship b efore long.
Soon, the two have picked up pursuit of the pirates who are on their
way to another planetoid, where a lone miner (Erich Dunskus), who lives
there with his daughter (Wera Frydtberg) and has just found ... something
very very valuable anyways. Of course, the pirates now hold up the miner
and his daughter, but ultimately Flash arrives just in time to prevent
anything bad from happening, and he has no troubles overpowering the
pirates to bring them to justice ...
Rather boring space adventure, not so much because the special effects
are rather rock bottom (these were the 1950's, you couldn't expect much
more) but because it lacks any kind of interesting story and instead seems
just like a (suspenseless) game of cops and robbers in outer space.
