Bar owner Art (Artour Pogosian) has hired Navajo Jim (Manuel Ramirez)
to find proof that his wife Roxanne (Sparkle Soojian) cheats on him - and
Navajo Jim delivers, upon which Art asks him to kill her. For Navajo Jim a
job's a job, really, so he accepts, but demands an up front, which is
really only an excuse for something else ... because you see, Navajo Jim's
really in league with Roxanne, who has long thought about leaving Art, but
really wants to get her hands on the cash he keeps in his bar's safe
first, and using Navajo Jim to get that cash, using whatever violence
necessary, plays right into her hand. Too bad for him she never had the
intention to share that money, and too bad for her there are also other
parties interested in the cash ... A very nice piece of very
cynical neo-noir where the world's a dirty plays and everyone just plays
one another, brought across in a very clever way, with a story that twists
so often it seems to bite its own tail, and a stylish direction that makes
the most of its limited locations. And the cast are uniformly up to the
task to give their characters the necessary depth in the little time they
have, all making this an entertaining watch for sure.
