Returning home from work, Mildred (Sam Lowen) is surprised to not find
her loved one welcoming her. Seems she's all alone - until she hears
whimpers from the basement, so she goes checking. Of course, she doesn't
know that there's a serial killer (John Migliore) down there, carving up
his latest victim (Scarlett Rose Taylor) ... This is a fun
horror miniature: True, it starts out as an incredibly brutal piece of
torture porn, with some suspense added just for good measure, and while
it's all very well done, for a minute or two it just feels tried and true
- but it's really the surprise twist at the end that makes the film - and
thanks to a genre savvy directorial effort and an able cast, this one
works like a charm, too.
