It's near impossible to say what this movie's actually
"about" storywise, as this is not a narrative film but a
associative meditation on death, and violent death at that, and on
mortality. Thus in the first half we're presented with people grieving
over the bloodied bodies of presumably loved one, who - again presumably -
died violent deaths, the second half presents us with a woman walking
through a dead forest - that might or might not represent afterlife,
this is toally open to interpretation. But even if the film
might be intentionally vague in its contents it's rather amazing when it
comes to its visuals, impressive and often ghastly images, that always are
there for more than just shock value, and that really drag one into the
world of the movie even without narrative context. And add to that a
fittingly creepy musical score, and you're in for one artistic treat!
