Devi's (Rakefet Abergel) waiting for her boyfriend Jared (Josh Kelly)
to pick her up after an AA meeting where she just received her 7 years
sober patch. But somehow, a stranger (Michael Villar) tempts her to try
some of his whiskey, succeeds, then drags her into his car and ... When
Jared picks up Devi, she's mightily distraught, but she refuses to tell
him what's wrong. When he smells a hint of whiskey in her breath though he
fears the worst. Thing is, he could never even imagined what's really
wrong with her ... So ok, the premise that your life will go to
hell if you drink as much as one sip of liquor comes across as very
heavy-handed, but on the plus side, the film doesn't take itself overly
seriously, and the surprise twist at the end really packs a punch. Plus
the characters and actors are all likeable enough to keep one interested.
So basically, nothing big, but good fun at least.
