Despite what has happened last
episode (and despite one character constantly confusing him with
Michael Madsen), Tom Sizemore's still in charge of Barbie Rehab - and Cop
Ken (Derek S. Orr) and Dr. Midge (Vanessa Bednar) still hate each other's
guts ... so much so that Tom decides to lock them up together in a barn
where they're supposed to build their own toilet and well and whatnot
together as some sort of "couple therapy". However, they find
numerous ways to cheat the system rather than try good old collaboration,
and even play cruel pranks on one another ... before the realize the one
thing that unites them is the desire to get rid of Tom Sizemore, and once
they admit that to themselves, everyone else falls in place - and Tom
Sizemore ends in the loonie bin of episode
1 ... Other subplots involve a Barbee kidnapping, Star Trek
Barbee (Kristy Dennis) and Ken (Johnny Wactor) discovering porn, and the
alien (Bai Ling) posing as Chinese Barbee still getting all things wrong
about humankind ... Now storywise, this twice-the-normal-length
(as in 60 minutes) final episode of Barbee Rehab is all over
the place, tryint to tie up too many narrative loose ends all at once and
not always succeeding - but it's still hilarious in the very style of the
series as a whole, meaning it's loud, it's campy, it's irreverent, it's
not always on point but never far off, and despite its narrative
inconsistencies it moves along at a steady pace and is carried by the
party movie humour that has made the series as a whole quite so endearing.
