A scary bedtime story told to them by their brother (Douglas Reese)
leaves twins Lily (Braelyn Riggs) and Rachel (Rylee Riggs) intrigued since
it's about a baby-faced monster living in the woods nearby - so the girls
set out to find the monster, but ultimately only Lily dares to actually
enters the woods - and finds a severed human finger, which scares the shit
out of her. That evening, she can't sleep, despite the fact that her
brother admits the story's just made up ... but then, in the middle of the
night, the door to the closet in the girls' room opens, and when Lily asks
Rachel to close it, Rachel does not return ... A very nice
little scary movie that might be entirely family friendly, but is not
without its scares, and even without any resources, director Douglas Reese
manages to create a creepy atmosphere, helped also by his enjoyably
old-fashioned approach to the genre. And the young girls are actually
really good in their roles, especially taking their age into account.
