A Satanic cult has made it its mission to summon the demon Meathead
(David Kolenski), and even though demonhunter Kirk (Robert Mukwaodayin)
manages to kill the cult leader (Lizz Cleland), he's no match for Meathead
himself ... Kirk's sister Kelly (Cheryl Tate) learns from their grandpa
(Stu Keays) that she's the last descendant of a long line of demon
hunters, and now that Meathead's out and about, she has to summon demon
Jenk Jenk (Spencer Jenkyns) to fight and defeat him. Of course, nobody has
told Kelly that Jenk Jenk is a pretty dangerous demon himself, and that
he'd kill her upon their first meeting - but heck, the world's at stake
... Meathead in the meantime has gotten a taste of modern human life ...
well, especially marihuana and crack cocaine, but that's not making him
any less dangerous, now is it. And it's only a question of time until the
two demons meet ... Filmed in stark black and white,
accompanied by some rather noisy musical tracks, and filmed with an
overuse of quick zoom-ins and zoom-outs, some might find this movie a bit
challenging for the eyes and ears - but actually, the bold stylistic
choices work more often than not: This movie might be a bit on the blunt
side regarding narration, but it's very excitedly and excitingly filmed
and cobbled together, moves at a very steady pace, features cool monster
masks, violence, bits of irony ... so something for everyone methinks.
It's fun, really.
