Someone is killing the squires in the neighbourhood, and he uses arrows
just like Robin Hood (Richard Greene) and his merry men. Robin is quick to
find a suspect, Count Hubert (John Dearth), but to actually get proof
against him, Robin and Little John (Rufus Cruikshank) have to visit his
castle undercover, dressed up as minstrels. Of course, their charade is
soon found out, but they manage to get away easier than they had thought -
because Count Hubert actually needs Robin as a scapegoat for his own
crimes. Somehow, Robin and Little John have gathered enough information to
find out where Count Hubert will strike next, and when he and his men
arrive at the castle in question, Robin and his men already await him.
Hubert and gang are of course defeated, and Robin sends the evil count to
the Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Wheatley) as a gift. Nothing
great, but an ok TV swashbuckler. There's really not much more to say
about this one ...
