Spacecop Abraxas (Jesse Ventura) trails down Secundus (Sven-Ole
Thorsen), his former partner, through the galaxy, becuse he has stolen the
anti life equation ... which is something which is very powerful
and could used for evil ends in evil hands. Anyways, ultimately Abraxas
catches up with Secundus on earth and arrests him, but not before Secundus
impregnates Sonia (Marjorie Bransfield) with the equation, who gives birth
to a baby boy right on the spot, before she can even say abortion.
Abraxas knows the newborn carries the anti life equation within
him, but is such a good guy that he cannot kill a defenseless child. Years
later, Secundus escapes prison, and is hell-bent to track down the anti-life-equation-boy
again, who has now grown up to be a mute eight-year-old called Tommy
(Francis Mitchell), who has some extra sensory powers - but of course,
Abraxas is hot on Secundus' trail ... and after all the usual chases and
fights, he can of course kill Secundus, and decides to stay on earth, to
protect Sonia and Tommy from future enemies.
Your typical sci
fi B-movie from the early 1990's that is as bad as it is boring. Borrowing
heavily brom both Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day,
Abraxas nevertheless manages to remain totally flat, featuring
incredibly unspectacular action scenes, even worse dialogue, not so
special special effects, and in the end, to keep costs down one would
presume, everything is resolved in a lame fistfight. Not even so bad
it's good, and definitely not worth your time and money.
