Your new movie 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher - in a few words, what's it
about? I’d say it’s about a disheveled man who has an encounter with death!
With 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher being a bare-to-the-bones slasher
movie, is that a genre at all dear to you, and some of your genre
favourites? Of course! I absolutely love the subgenre, Halloween,
Child’s Play, A
Nightmare On Elm Street, all among my top favorites of the horror genre
for sure! (Other) sources of inspiration when writing 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher? Tales
from the Crypt and Creepshow, without a doubt, I love those franchises
with a passion! You of course have to talk about your killer's mask for a bit, and how much input did
you have in its creation? The mask was created by JL Turman, phenomenal job by the way, I think you can
attest to this, but all the credit goes there, has nothing to do with me. Do talk about your movie's
approach to horror! The film’s approach to horror is short, quick, and to the point I’d say, I
want to leave people wanting more with this one. A few words about your overall
directorial approach to your story at hand? This
time I really wanted to focus on the shots and making the movie look as
great as it can look on a small budget, also taking a story to places
I’ve never gone before as a director.
You also appear in front of the camera in 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher - so have you written the
character with yourself in mind from the get-go, and honestly, how much
fun was it to play a masked killer? It’s
always fun to play the villain role, I have to be honest there! Also it
was made with me in mind but it’s really because I was the only one that
could do it at the time, so it’s a right place right time kind of deal. What can you tell us
about 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher's lead Naceem Bright, and what
made him perfect for the job? Naceem
is a good friend of mine, and I don’t know if you could tell but it was
his first time doing any acting in his life. I think he killed it, no pun
intended. Do talk about the shoot as
such, and the on-set atmosphere? It was just me and Naceem in the streets of Philadelphia late at night for a
few hours running around basically, a very fun environment and it all went
by really fast too, very smooth.
The $64-question of course, where can 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher be seen? It
will be available on YouTube, so everyone should keep an eye out for it! Anything
you can tell us about audience and critical reception of 4
Minutes of Terror: Night Slasher? So
far it’s been very well received and I’m excited to see what everyone
thinks once it gets a wide release! We are really proud of this one! You've told me
you're thinking about expanding the 4
Minutes of Terror-concept into a series - so are there any future
episodes already in the planning of even in production, and/or any other
future projects you'd like to share? Yes,
I am currently working on the next part of this saga! So stay tuned for
that! Your/your movie's website, social media, whatever else?
