Radhe (Salman Khan) is just a good for nothing - but highly respected -
bully, who hangs around the campus even if he has dropped out of college
years ago. This all seems to change though, when he meets new, innocent
student Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla), daughter of a priest, whom he takes an
instant liking into, even though he initially treats her no better than
all other freshmen. But, having only known bullying for way too long, he
finds it hard to show her his true feelings - & is devastated when
he hears she is actually engaged to Rameshwar (Ravi Kishan). Radhe now
even tries to force Rameshwar to give up Nirjara, but leaves him
unimpressed, instead only makes Nirjara mad at him.
But then he saves Nirjara's
sister from a brothel that is raided by the police & succeeds in
restoring her relationship with her husband - without even knowing it is
Nirjara's sister. Rameshwar, who sees all this, now is impressed &
now decides to step down from his claims & leave Nirjara to Radhe -
while Radhe nearly blows it again by kidnapping Nirjara & letting
the anger inside him speak when he wants to confess his love. She sees
into his heart though, & all seems swell - Until the owners of the
brothel that was raided show up, decidedly angry at Radhe who was
responsible for the raid in the first place, & violently beat him
up, in fact so bad that his brain is seriously damaged beyond
medical treatment.
The only thing the doctor can advice to his family is
to send him to the weird asylum of swami Sripurdham, some kind of a
miracle worker. The asylum turns out to be living hell, with its
patients kept in place by chains. However, when Nirjara comes to visit
one day, Radhe does indeed come back to his senses, but unbeknowest by
her or everyone else. She meanwhile breaks out in tears & decides to
marry Rameshwar after all. & while she is prepared for her wedding,
Radhe does break out of the asylum, & his first way leads him
straight to her. But to his shock he finds Nirjara in her bridal gown -
poisoned by her own hand. Overcome by grief, he returns to the asylum.
Mediocre drama that on one hand wastes way too much time setting up
Salman Khan's macho image, while on the other hand it definitely lacks in
storytelling to reasonably set up the action - which in turn is too scarce to balance
out the rather corny love story.
