Your upcoming movie A Blood Story
- in a few words, what is
it about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?
I put more thought into Madison than any other character I've ever
done... I can say no more without spoiling it. How
did you prepare for your role, what did you draw upon to bring your
character to life? Like her, I am also a model...we have
the same fears about getting old, injured and thrown away at our first
wrinkle. How did you get involved with the
project in the first place? Joe Hollow [Joe Hollow
interview - click here] and Debra Lamb [Debra
Lamb interview - click here] reached out to me. As a serial
supporting actor this was a great opportunity to have a lead role in an
incredible project... I will be forever thankful that they sought me out on
Facebook. Viva la social media!
What can you tell us about
your director Joe Hollow [Joe Hollow
interview - click here], and what was your collaboration like?
It
was my first time traveling for a project, so I was nervous but it was
such a great experience and I felt so welcome. There was so much love and
care into each scene... the footage is going to be fantastic I already
know it! You
just have to talk about the actual shoot and the on-set atmosphere for a
bit! Joe really did a lot of work building the sets inside
of his house, and we were all having a great time in between shots!!!
Plus we got to go to Gissy springs!!!! With A Blood Story
being a horror
movie - is that a genre you can at all relate to, and why (not)?
I've
done my share of horrors, The Haunting of Whaley House, Killjoy Goes to
Hell, VHS-2, The 7 Faces of Jack the Ripper... and I love watching the
special make up effects that go into it as well! I even have my own horror
themed web series Veronique Von Venom: Horror Hostess Hottie!! Speaking
of horror, you also star in the upcoming Lizzie Borden's Revenge -
what can you tell us about that one and your character in it? I
play the typical slasher college girl... what is cool though is that Lizzie
Borden is actually from my home town so I knew the whole story!
Also
upcoming are three films by Creep Creepersin [Creep
Creepersin interview - click here], Fork You, White
Zombie and Bitch that Cried Wolf. Want to talk about those, and
what's your collaboration with Creep usually like? He definitely loves what he does. I did kind of get frostbite filming in
Minnesota... took a week to get the feeling back. You're
also in the upcoming Pain and Gain, right? So in what way does working
on a big budget blockbuster compare to working on the indie films
mentioned above? Better food on set usually. I did have to
handle a 13 foot python that tried to choke me - totally worth it though!!!
Plus like, it's cool having everyone see it on the big screen.
Let's go back to the beginnings of your
career: What got you into acting in the first place, and did you receive
any formal training on the subject? I have no formal
training, I fell into acting and started doing well pretty immediatly, I
would take roles that didn't pay just to gain experience on set, network, and
to build my resume up. Plus I'm compulsive about my social media,
which definitely helps. Can you still
remember your first time in front of a movie or TV camera, and what was
that experience like? I had to do an implied love scene,
right away! I think the crew was more nervous than I was, I was even
slightly scared... the guy was pretty cute too.
Any past films of yours you'd like
to talk about? I've done a lot of comedies and I can
be found in my new movie Casting Couch at Blockbuster, Amazon,
itunes,
etc. Chicks Dig Gay Guys is out of post too now, so hopefully that will
follow. Any future projects you'd like to share? Well,
they're thinking of doing a second season of King of the Nerds, it would
be great to wear that pink wig again!!! I'm also working on producing my
own feature Attack of the Killer Hamster - guess what it's
about? You
have also done quite a bit of reality TV - so what can you tell us about
your reality TV experiences, and how does this compare to making movies?
I've
done over a dozen major network reality shows, I like doing them despite
the bad rap they can get. I get to be myself and no lines to
memorize! I loved doing Take Me Out, Millionaire Matchmaker,
Celebridate, Mac Miller and the Dopest Family, Excused... I just
did an episode of Tough Love for VH-1... I love it, and the fans are great. You
do have a background in standup comedy as well, right - a few words on
Mindy Robinson, the comedienne, and how would you describe your sense of
humour? I'd much rather do sketch comedy, I hate sitting
there waiting to go up while everyone tells the same jokes over and
over...I'm definitley a gross-out comic, and I swear a lot. You also have to talk about Mindy Robinson the
model for a bit, and how does modelling compare to acting?
I
don't focus on it like I do acting... I use it to promote myself and well,
the paychecks are nice. I currently model for Red Lips Clothing (they give
me a lot of sexy dresses to wear for carpets) and Party Rock Clothing,
LMFAO's clothing line for which I also do videos for. Any
other talents of yours you'd like to talk about?
I have a really long tongue.
How would you describe yourself as an actress? I
can be serious and cry on cue and all that...but I definitely consider
myself a comedic actress at heart. Actresses
(or indeed actors) who inspire you? Goldie Hawn, she's hot
and funny. John Cusack, because Better Off Dead... shaped my life,
lol. Your favourite
movies?
Better off Dead..., Overboard, Carrie, and anything
I'm in. ... and of course, films you really deplore?
Like Crazy, someone got paid to put good reviews out there for that. Buy a
tripod, write a script, edit it right!!! Your
website, Facebook, whatever else?

Anything else you are
dying to mention and I have merely forgotten to ask? If
anyone would like to pay off the credit card debt I built up last year
when I started acting... tell them to contact me, I also need a new
computer (I'm thinking a Mac) - and a unicorn would be nice. Thanks
for the interview!
