And eventually it becomes clear that adoption is the only option. But they soon have to realize that adoption isn't a walk through the park either amd carries its fair share of heartbreak, even if one has done all the paperwork, does qualify and has a sympathetic adoption officer (Stacey Dash) on one's side ... <p> <p>I won't lie to you, there are moments in this movie where are you pretty much forced into shedding some tears, but by and large this is a rather subtle drama that, if anything, rather underplays its emotional core - which makes it all the more effective as it feels relatable and grounded rather than driving its points home with a sledgehammer.
