Villainess Reimi (Hitomi Takahashi) decides it's time to end her
personal war with schoolgirl turned undercover cop Saki (Yuki Saito) once
and for all, no matter what - so she kidnaps Saki's boyfriend Sanpei,
drugs him into submission, then returns him to Saki with the order to kill
her. Sanpei fails of course, but it soon becomes apparent that Sanpei was
forced into submission using a highly unusual drug, and its antidote is
just as rare ... and yet, Saki has only 24 hours to get it. What further
complicates matters is that Reimi re-kidnpas Sanpei and gives Saki an
ultimatum (yet offers her the antidote). Of course, Reimi's offer is
nothing but a trap, but Saki wants to go and free Sanpei anyhow, even
against the advice of her mentor Jin (Koji Naka), who ultimately knocks
her out just to keep her from going, instead he saves Sanpei himself but
is shot dead by Reimi once the mission is accomplished. Seeing Jin
dying, Saki, who has only just come to and caught up with Jin, follows
Reimi into a warehouse that Reimi quickly fills with poisoned gas, and she
stays inside the warehouse as welljust to see that Saki doesn't escape
death once again ... and Saki does not try to escape because she's just as
determined to bring Reimi's reign of terror to an end - and in the end
they both die because their determination won't allow them otherwise. It's
high drama that ends both Sukeban Deka's Evil
Sisters-storyarc as well as the entire (first) series, with not one but
two lead characters dying heroes' deaths ... and yet this is not exactly
one of the better episodes of the series, mainly because it takes itself
too seriously, is more or less lacking in the action as well as the high
camp department, and never quite escapes being cheesy. Still, at least
if you're into the series, you will not consider this exactly a bad
episode, but probably not very good either.
