Saki (Yoko Minamino) and
Okyo (Haruko
Sagara) arrive in a quiet coastal village - where they're almost
immediately suspected of the attempted murder of local gangleader Taiko,
who is so enraged that she'd only be too happy to be their judge, jury and
executioner in one person - without of course having a shred of evidence
of Saki and Okyo's guilt. Saki brokers a deal with Taiko though, offering
to go looking for the real culprit while Taiko's gang keep Okyo as hostage
- tied to a post by the sea that will be submerged by the flood in 6 hours
time. At first Saki doesn't get anywhere really with her investigations,
until she finds out Taiko's family owns some land that a stranger,
Keisuke, is hell-bent on buying even though it's totally worthless. Saki
breaks into Keisuke's hotel room and finds out that he's a member of the
evil Seiroukai gang who want to build an academy on Taiko's land. Another
attempt is made on Taiko's life, but Saki saves her and finds out the
assailant is Taiko's best friend Yoshie, who has fallen for Keisuke. After
this failed attempt, Keisuke and some surfer dudes attack Taiko and Saki,
but of course our heroines have the upper hand in the fight ... Neither
the best nor the campiest of the series, this one's still ok fun. Mostly
it plays like a whodunnit and makes a good job of it, but the final fight
that pits Saki's yo-yo against the surfers' boards is a good laugh for
sure.
