There's a new villainess in town, the Sukeban Hunter, a girl in all Noh
get-up - including mask - who fights sukebans (= delinquent girls), beats
them to a pulp and steals their scarves, which she's said to collect.
Thing is, one girl when fighting the Sukeban Hunter, managed to unmask
her, revealing her to be Okyo (Hakuro Sagara). But when the girl and her
friends pay a visit to Okyo the next day to have their revenge on her, she
gives them a good beating - but denies being the Sukeban Hunter. When Okyo
visits the Sukeban Hunter's favourite hunting grounds that night, she
comes face to face with the Sukeban Hunter, destroys her mask, and really
looks into her own face. Their fight is however cut short, but the next
day Okyo receives an invitation to a very exclusive club from the Sukeban
Hunter, who goes by the name of Rei and is a member of the very exclusive
upper class - and she can't stand that Rei, a working class girl, has a
face like hers. So she drugs Okyo and challenges her to a fight in a
warehouse, where she has all the advantages, as she knows the terrain, has
equipped it with all sorts of mirrors to throw Okyo off her scent, and
Okyo's weapon of choise, marbles, is of course no match to her
projectivles, pure diamonds. But Okyo uses her street smarts to defeat Rei
after all ... A fun solo adventure for Okyo, with actress
Hakuro Sagara well proving that she can hold her own given the
opportunity. Plus the Noh-inspired costume of the villainess shows a touch
of ingenuity, as does her favourite hunting ground that has a certain
creepy artificiality to it. And the final fight is nothing if not
well-staged, so in all a pretty entertaining episode.
