The Iron Cross Army, an organisation hell-bent on taking over the
world, tries a new strategy: To commit petty crimes and then put the blame
on harmless citizens to create chaos. Now how that helps in achieving
world domination I don't know, but they do it anyways. One of the
persons accused of a crime they did not commit, is Kayo, a hard-working
single mother who has always taught her son Ryo to never lie ... but then
more and more evidence turns up that she has stolen 5 million Yen, and
even Ryo starts to doubt her. But then he tries to find out what is really
going on with his mother and gets into the clutches of the Iron Cross
Army. Thank God then that Spider-Man (Shinji Todoo) is nearby to bring
everything to a happy ending. Generally, the Spider-Man
episodes featuring little boys in lead roles are among the worst and
cheesiest, and this one is no exception. At least this one features a cool
Machine Bem (~ the Iron Cross Army's robot monsters) that looks a bit like
a carnivorous plant, but it is unfortunately regrettably underused.
