Squire Douglas is murdered in a sealed off castle, so the only logical
suspect seems to be John Morell (Maurice Teynac), a friend from abroad who
has been the deceased guest at the time of the murder, and Inspector
MacLeod (Russell Waters) is getting ready to arrest the man - when
Sherlock Holmes (Ronald Howard) interferes, and soon enough he has turned
the case to its head, has found out about another man, who wants revenge
on both Douglas and Morell - and ultimately he finds out that Douglas
wasn't shot at all but the third man, while Douglas is hiding in a
secret chamber somewhere in the castle ...
Howard Marion Crawford plays his usual role as Doctor Watson.
Rather far-fetched, jumpy and lacking credibility, this episode has
very little to go for it.
