The burglar of this piece (Joel D. Wynkoop) sure has done his homework,
he has picked a house in a quite neighbourhood, has checked that the owner
(M. Catherine Wynkoop) is out for at least a couple of days, and has
familiarized himself with the lock before the break-in - so it should have
been an easy in-and-out job ... only it isn't, as the house our burglar
has picked is haunted, and the evil power (Jaysen P. Buterin) at work here
makes sure he reads out a handful of horrific stories as prelude to his
punishment ...
- Open House: These days, it's quite usual to check up on the
history of the house you're buying - but at times, it might also be a
good idea to check up on the history of the realtor (Noellie Burger)
you're buying it from ...
- The Last Farewell of Mr. Perez: He (Marcelo Fabani) has just
turned 50 and his body's already failing when he receives a message
from his long-gone-missing mother (Silvia Bruno), telling him he might
not be exactly human - or from this dimension even ...
- Slay Ride: Shopping mall Santa (Justin Bower) loses it when
he finds his wife (Lilian Lamour) in bed with an elf ...
- The Present: As a coming-home present, a wife gives her
traveller husband a lady to torture as he desires ...
- My World: Phil Herman and producer Dustin Hubbard try to put
the finishing touches on Horror Tales.666 Part 2, and suddenly
receive calls from all kings of B horror people who want to be in the
movie, possibly host it, actors as diverse as Ari Lehman, Debbie
Rochon, Debbie D, Shawn C. Phillips, M. Catherine Wynkoop (going
behind Joel's back), Michael Moutsatsos, and the like - and it turns
into a nightmare ...
Arriving a mere 18 years after the original HorrorTales.666 and
actually bringing back some of the cast, this one has actually turned out
to be a quite enjoyable little anthology in its own right, one of these
omnibus movies that might be quite heterogenous when it comes to the
shorts it's composed of, and combines ultra-gore in one segment with
comedy in the next, some thoughtfulness, and even self-parody (the final
segment), but one thing shines through in all the segments, and that's
love for the genre, a love that's really infectuous, which in turn makes
this a really fun watch for all genre fans.
