Nick (Khristian Fulmer) and Daisy (Erin Lilley) are professional demon
hunters in the town of Mobile where (unofficially) people, werewolves and
who knows what other creatures live side by side rather peacefully - well.
mostly anyways as of late there have been a few killings that might have
been demonic doing - most likely of a dogman, so detective Bert (Amir
Zandi) - incidently Daisy's boyfriend - brings them in as special
advisors. .And even the deputy mayor (Michael Anthony Bagozzi) wants their
advice, but something doesn't ring quite true about him. They also find a
prime suspect in dogman Corconyx (Michael Anthony Bagozzo), but even if he
acts all evil, he doesn't come across as a ruthless murderer either. So it
isn't until ouzr heroes team up with rival paranormal investigator Cheri
(Victoria Antonelli) that they figure there's something much more sinister
behind these murders that appears to be man-made ...
Now to properly enjoy this movie, it helps if you like your horror
on the lighter side, as despite some scenes of gruesomeness, it's mostly
filled with fun banter, and the leads coming across as bumbling but
loveable losers only plays into that. That said, while the film's at times
a bit wordy, it's also mostly really funny, with the cast all in on the
joke while the script doesn't dumb things down for comedy sake but manages
to tell an interesting story with its fair share of fun twists. So in all
worth a watch for sure.
