Now of course, Mary-Beth's (Holly-Anne Dodkins) main claim to fame is
being the daughter of killer clown Cleaver - but having over a dozien kills
to her name makes her a public threat in her own right, so much so that
she's sent to a maximum security facility with pther serial killers with
telling names like Stripper Ripper (David Hon Man Chu), Mr. Stitch
(William Marshall), C'Nucklehead (Lewis Cooper), Mirror Man (Aaron
Jackson) and the notoriously "innocent" Adam (Adam Lezemore). And with all
this evil contentrated in one spot, it's only a question of time until
swomebody tries a prison break, this one also seasoned by the fact that
the warden (Martin W. Payne) is Cleaver's biggest fanboy - to a very
unhealthy degree ... Now of course, Cleaver 3: Maximum
Cleavage isn't the next Citizen Kane, it's
rather a very pulpy blend of prison movie and slasher flick - and that's
really what makes hit movie, it's very unpretentious about what it is and
rather leans into its genre(s) and is quite good at it as a result, a
maybe silly but at the same time very enjoyable genre movie that doesn't
try to be more than it is and succeeds as a result. |
