Mick (Jamie Wilson) ought to be at home helping his wife (Suzy Markovski)
taking care of theor sick baby girl - instead he robs a convenient store
and shoots the store clerk dead in the process. He then tries to make a
getaway using the backmroads, but runs into a cop (Nield Schneider) who
stops him, cuffs him and has figured him out in an instant- And of course,
once he searches Mick's car, he finds all the evidence he needs - only to
let Mick go with a warning, as some cops just have their own agenda ...
Now I will say, this film packs a lot into its mere 15 minute running
time, frankly a bit too much to properly follow the story from beginning
to end, but that said, it's a good watch while it lasts, it features
colourful characters played by an able ensemble cast, the dialogue's sharp
and poignant, and the whole thing is rather beautifully filmed. So even if
you don't foillow the story as a whole, prepare to be entertained.
