16 year old Joan (Renato Quattordio) is having an affair with his 35
year old teacher Luciana (Romina Ricci), so when she learns she's leaving
the school in only a couple of days, he's shattered. However, as a proper
farewell, the two decide to spend a romantic weekend in a remote mansion,
away from all prying eyes that could spoil their secret love. And at first
everything goes great ... until Gustavo (Rafael Ferro) shows up, who
Luciana first claims is her brother. It soon becomes clear that Gustavo
doesn't very much approve of Joan, and he isn't afraid to show it. But
what at first seems like a game of alpha dog soon takes a more violent
spin, which culminates in Gustavo tieing up Joan - and it soon becomes
apparent that the whole set-up has been long planned, with Luciana being
the bait for Gustavo's trap to capture Joan and hold the boy, who's from a
rich family, for ransom. Now that's bad, but what's worse is that Gustavo
plans to kill Joan even if his family pays up, to leave no witness behind
...
A very enjoayble little thriller that might take a bit to
reach its full potential, but that hardly at all matters as it has a
powerful story to tell, and it keeps one on one's toes with plenty of
unexpected yet narratively logical plottwistsand a proper build-up of
tension and suspense. And a cool main location that's used to full
effect, and a solid small ensemble make this very entertaining genre fare.
