The Count De Waldern (Leslie Phillips) is collecting men for his army
(which basically means incarcerating them), not only army material though
but also the old and the sick and young boys, and he has bought knight's
armour by the dozen. Somehow, Robin Hood (Richard Greene) and his Merry Men
have gotten wind of this, so Robin and Little John (Archie Duncan) take up
a job at the armourer (Alastair Hunter) and are soon left with the
responsibility to deliver the armour to De Waldern's castle, while Maid
Marian (Bernadette O'Farrell) is left with the task to use her charms to
divert the Count's attention while Robin has his men enter the castle and
free De Waldern's soldiers. And even if it seems Marian has taken a
bigger bite than she can chew - De Waldern soon enough tries to get
physical - in the end good (Robin and his men) triumphs over evil (De
Waldern) once again ...
Ok episode, if a bit formulaic.
