An aging actor (Joe DeBartolo) presents us with four cautionary tales
stemming from the film business, not knowing what he unleashes onto the
world::
- The Director's Demise: Director Douglas (Robert
Gutierrez-Spagnoli) is basically a sleazebag, he's always trying to
get into his leading ladies' panties, he's screaming at his cast and
crew and firing them at the slightest provocation, and his films are
usually little more than sleazefests. Enter Nikki (Nixon Vicci), an
attractive actress willing to put up with all this and more, and of
course she becomes his darling in no time. Only she has her own
motives for everythiing ...
- The Producer's Plight: Victoria (Debbie D) is a film producer as ruthless as they come,
which includes firing a veteran actor (Ralph Rey) she has just hired,
just to break him and drive him to suicide. And when her assistant
(Phil Herman) dares to complain about this, she even shoots him dead.
But sometimes, old sins just won't stay dead ...
- Family Registry:
A down on his luck filmmaker is hired by his agent (Heather Carson) to
make a documentary about South American vampires - and gets
uncomfortably close to the truth ...
- The Makeup Artist's Misfortune: Makeup artist Kelly
(Brooke Ashley) has made one fatal mistake on a film production, she
has actually burnt the face of an actor (Will Devokees) who needed to
be made up as a burn victim. And this actor has chosen tonight for his
revente ...
As is often the case with genre anthologies, especially if they're made
from a wide variety of filmmakers, there's usually at least something in
there for everybody - and sure, the segments vary wildly in tone,
seriousness, production values and indeed quality, but each of these
shorts has at least something to it and some are actually really good. So
even if you're only somewhat into horror, you're almost sure to enjoy this
one at least in parts.
