A filmteam (Ilaria Monfardini, Maria Borzillo, Nazir Sojar, Anderson Cruz) hell-bent on finding out the truth about UFOs visit the one man (George Newton) who might know the truth about extraterrestrial visitors to our planet. And he sure claims they're all around us, but can't prove their existence, just tells them stories of abductions from about 50 years ago, including a young couple (Alice Ceriani, Michelangelo Bertocchi), a professor (Maurizio Ricevuto) who had been on the aliens' trail with a psychic (Ekaterina Buscemi), an old couple (Fulvio Wetzl, Jole Rosa), and a mother (Irene Baiardi) who actually tried to also have her children (Sofia Zelasco, Leonardo Biggi) abducted. None of this is proof, but just because something can't be proven doesn't mean it's not true ...

Now sure, from a pure narrative point of view, 0187 UFO has little new to offer - after all we've probably all heard more alien abduction stories than we can shake a stick at over the years. What makes this film interesting is its approach though that chooses atmosphere over effect, is mostly jump scare free, cleverly hides its creatures and works so hard to avoid genre clichés it at times comes across as almost experimental. Now add to this engaging storytelling and a very competent cast, and you've got yourself an unusual but very worthwhile genre film..
