Your upcoming movie Scream Machine - in a few words, what is
it about?
Scream Machine
will be another anthology, my fifth to be exact.
It will most likely have another host this time. With Death
by VHS we did a wraparound story with no host, with this one I
think I will bring back the host, but in a whole new format, it won't be
the Scarlet
Fry people are used to. That's what I love so much about the
character, he can be whatever he wants and always change. If you remember
in Junkfoood
Horrorfest he was a hillbilly redneck and in Nightmare
Alley he was a more gothic type traditional host. This time he
will be something completely different. Wild & crazy! Like Alfred
Hitchcock meets Mötley Crüe on crack. What can
you tell us about the film's intended look and feel? Its
gonna be much like a Troma
film, completey ruthless gore & sickness shot on a Canon HD. We are
pulling all the stops on this one, no rules & no more Mr Nice Guy, we
are going to assualt & attack the viewer with sickness. You
will be sharing directing duties on Scream Machine
with Paul C.
Hemmes and David Sabal - so do talk about them for a bit, and how did you
all hook up? David was with me on Death
by VHS and Paul wrote & directed a film called Dead Enders
& is a local Phoenix guy I met through the wonders of social media ...
erm, not really we all met at a vomit eating contest.
Since there are quite a few gorehounds
among my readers - how far do you plan to go in the blood and
guts-department, and is there any line you refuse to cross? Not
at all this film will have decapitated oral sex, acid baths, teeth pulling,
head bashing, jaw cracking gory sick mayhem. There is no line we won't
cross on Scream Machine, this will be the sickest goriest film I've
ever made. We will gross you out, even the most jaded of horror fans will
be sickened by some of the stuff in this film. Anything
you can tell us about your projected cast yet? So far Troma's
Lloyd Kaufman will be introducing it, we are going to bring the better
actors back from some of my prior films, & if we raise enough money we
will have Ari Lehman (first Jason)
make an appearance, there are some other tricks in the bag as well.
Hopefully we will raise the funds, otherwise we may have to go donate
sperm. As far as
I know, Scream Machine
is currently in its fundraising stages - so
what can you tell us about your fundraising efforts?
We have an IndieGoGo campaign & I'm hoping all my 2,000+ friends on
Facebook will at least each donate a Dollar, then we will be there, I will
even give you a body part for it. Seriously people really need to support
this film, we are going to outdo Human Centipede and any sick ass
film out there. This will be talked about, so if you wanna become part of
a cult classic I would definitely reach into those pockets and give us a
buck.

Once
your funds are raised, how do you plan to proceed, and even if it's too
early to ask, any idea when and where the film might be released onto the
general public yet?

We have a distributor in mind that I'm
pretty sure will take this film once they see how great it will be, I've
been jipped by every lowball horror distributor out there, & I'm sick
of it, I finally found one I can trust so we will be signing with them.
They know their limits and put together great packages. Not only a DVD
release but possibly a VHS release as well.
Any future projects beyond Scream Machine? Probably going back to work for Taco Bell ...
haha, of course I can't just stop making movies, whenever I tell myself I'm
done, it usually is very brief before I gotta get creative again and
unleash my sickness on the world, there will definitely be more to look
foward to after Scream Machine. Your/your movie's website, Facebook,
IndieGoGo, whatever else? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/scream-machine-2015
Anything else you are dying to
mention and I have merely forgotten to ask? Don't talk it,
do it!
Thanks for
the interview!
