Melanie Denholme over the past two years has gone from strength to strength. Her horror film premiere was in <b><a href="../movies/paranormalhaunting(2011).shtml"> Paranormal Haunting</a></b> where she had no dialogue. She so impressed the director, that she was offered her own leading role in a very unusual Vampire film – <a href="../movies/ladyofthedark(2011).shtml"><b> Lady of the Dark</b></a>. Why unusual? Because she was the only actress in it. She would have to carry off all the dialogue, all the scenes. And she did to high critical acclaim. The film was made even harder by the fact she has to evolve from nice, girl next door to evil man eating vampire. Again, she did it beautifully. <center> <p> </p> <p>Following this, Melanie went to to take the lead role in <b><a href="../movies/meninblackthedarkwatchers(2012).shtml"> The Dark Watchers</a></b>, playing a UFO seeking crazy girl who finds more than she bargained for and is taken by the “blackness” of the aliens. A transformation again beautifully acted. But even physically, Melanie has been pushed. In <b><a href="../movies/meninblackthedarkwatchers(2012).shtml"> The Dark Watchers</a></b> she had to be completely covered in black latex – every inch! She had to lie dead in freezing cold sea water and walk naked through public woods. In <a href="../movies/ladyofthedark(2011).shtml"><b> Lady of the Dark</b></a>, she had to become the Vampire and eat flesh. And yes, it was real animal flesh and she sat in a bath full of real blood and animal parts.
