So he poses as a killer - who he found dead in the desert, & who Gentry is expecting as <i>helping hand</i> - & infiltrates Gentry's gang. Gentry, meanwhile, is planning to take over Lafe McKee's ranch by killing him & marrying his daughter Virginia Brown Faire. But as Gentry makes John Wayne a vital part of his plan, it fails of course, & Wayne not only gets the final proof that Gantry is his father's killer (he recognizes him by his maniacal laugh) but also finds his lost brother. In an action-packed showdown, Gentry is accidently shot by his own men. <p> </p> <p>Wayne's B-Western for <i> Monogram</i> were all pretty good, as is this one, an early vendetta-Western with great outdoor scenery, a fast pace & great action - mainly staged by Yakima Canutt, who also plays the villain's main henchman.
