A series of loosely connected tales, often inspired by urban legends:
- A girl (Jayla Jacobs) does not pass on the post that says
"Share or you'll die" - and faces the consequences ...
- James (Brian Jacobs) stays out until after nightfall against the
express advice of his father - and suddenly finds himself on the run
from a masked psycho killer (Nicholas Michael Jacobs) ...
- Young Annie (Alexis Beacher) is house-sitting for Ted (voiced by
Shawn C. Phillips), who's rumoured to be the killer of his wife - and
soon finds herself facing off against a doll made from her skin ...
- Above masked killer and a killer schoolgirl (Gianna Jacobs) battle
it out at the home of a young man who's the creepier killer ...
Truth to be told, Urban Fears doesn't re-invent horror - but
then again, it hasn't set out to do, instead it's a well-crafted
loveletter to the horror genre, told in vignettes that pick up horror
mainstays with added bits of originality that are successful exercises in
creation of suspense and pushing tension to its limits. And it easily
translates that this movie was made by horror fans - and horror fans are
sure to appreciate the effort.
