Walking the stairs up to her apartment, a woman (Atchaparan Wiesner) is
confronted by a masked stranger (Jörg Wischnauski), who has his pants
already unbuttoned, so ... Cut to: The woman down on her bathroom floor,
slowly coming to, blood between her legs, so it seems obvious to what has
happened - but a very inquisitive camera gradually tells another,
alternate story ... A very interesting miniature that presents
a very inventive take on the thriller genre, as the film actually leaves
out the one scene that's usually the highlight of a film of this ilk, the
actual attack, but instead reconstructs things after the fact through the
camera's inquisitive eye that only slowly unravels the whole story. And
this approach is testament to director René Wiesner's background in (and
approach to) documentary filmmaking, where he often lets the camera do
most of the storytelling. And the outcome of this is as unusual as it is
fascinating.
