Jane (Brinke Stevens) is a woman slightly obsessed with science fiction
and all things alien, so much so that she hasn't left the house anymore in
ages, wrapped up in her world of extraterrestrials. That is, until the
lines of what's real and what's fiction begin to blur when her televison,
her radio and even her fridge begin to talk to her (voices by Michelle
Bauer and Linnea Quigley), and lure her into these other worlds she reads,
dreams and fantasizes about ... Now granted, The Night Jane
Went Insane hasn't much of a story to tell even for its mere seven
minutes of runtime - but that said it's a fantastic trip all the same,
filmed in a lovingly created set, set to a haunting soundscape, elegantly
directed with a predilection for the weird, and Brinke shows herself on
top form here. It might be a bit unusual, but it's well worth a watch for
sure.
