- La Leyenda de Juan Soldado: Footsoldier Juan (Uri Meza) is
accused of rape and murder, and his general (Giancarlo Ruiz) decides

for a trial. Thing is, Juan's innocent, so the Devil (Carlos Eves)
grants him to go back to the surface world to have his revenge ...
- Paidós Phobos: There's something not quite right in the
relationship between Maria (Pilar Fernandez) and her daughter (Natalia
González), and that something ultimately leads Maria to committing a
violent crime. But the truth behind this story is even more sinister
than the story itself ...
- Potzonalli: A family (Laura de Ita, Babo Anguiano, Adriana
Marroquín, Hoze Meléndez) is so disgusted by their husband/father
(Fermin Martínez) that they decide to - turn him into dinner for the
whole neighbourhood ...
- Bolas de Fuego: Fernando (Fernando Guisa) and Héctor (Pedro
Joaquin) want to summon the devil, and to this end they hire two porn
actresses (Gloria Berdeja, Patricia Leih) as their human sacrifices,
but claiming they only want to shoot a scene with them. Thing is, the
girls have plans of their own ...
- Vitriol: Fernanda (Corina Lutski) has once been a very
beautiful model, but then she got raped by her photographer (Esteban
Soberanes) and since can't stand her own looks anymore - but nothing
what a little acid can't fix. And that's only her first step on her
way to self-empowerment ...
- No Te Duermas: Little Edgar (Francisco Leyva) is so afraid of
monsters who're out to get him at night that he doesn't even dare to
go to the toilet once it''s dark. His father (Ramón Medina) tries to
convince him there are no monsters in the house - and yet he has never
checked himself what might lurk in the basement ...
- Ya Es Hora: Young Fatima (Dulce Alexa Alfaro]) summons the
Devil to crush her arch-rival at school Jess (Vanya Moreno) and her
cronies - but sometimes the Devil just overreaches ...
- Exodoncia: Drug addict Liz (Florencia Ríos) has visions that
cause her to mutilate herself more and more - but are these visions
just drug-induced or is there something much more sinister at work?
A pretty impressive collection of South of the border horrors, and
while it's true that these shorts vary quite widely in approach to the
genre as such, from visceral to suspenseful, from dead serious to darkly
comedic, what they have in common in a pretty polished look - but not
polished in an aneamic way but that they're quite simply well-told,
well-shot, well-edited, well-directed and well-acted, and with the wide
variety of horrors presented here, there's pretty much something so like
about this one for every horror fan out there.
