Sam (Kerry Tartack) is a retired boxer who asks for nothing more from
life than spend a lonesome 60th birthday in his flat ... when his
eccentric next door neighbour Olivia (Sisi Berry) shows up at his flat
wanting to recruit him in her fight against their new neighbour
(Lucas Ayoub) - because he's a vampire. To back up her claim, Olivia has
of course nothing but easily disputable evidence - like a bottle of blood
she nicked from said neighbour's mail. But while there might be little in
terms of proof, Olivia has already found two allies in her fight against
the local bloodsucker, weirdo Dragon (Chuk Hell) and brainy Gretchen
(Rachel Atterson), whom whe has also invited to Sam's flat. But while Sam
still tries to talk sense into the vampire-hunting threesome, something of
the kind "vampires don't exist", the enemy a.k.a. the mysterious
neighbour, is already waiting on the doorstep, and he might suggest
vampires are only too real after all ... Now if you expect a
big bloodsucker massacre when going into Knock Knock, you'll
probably be disappointed - but for all those with an open mind, that's not
a bad thing at all, because Knock Knock is a rather loveable
situation comedy that lives from original dialogue and fun characters far
more than from bloodshed itself, and that manages to make the most out of
its limitations regarding locations and cast, and make this one into a
very enjoyable and entertaining experience.
