Back in the day, it sounded like a good idea to become an exhibit in a
human zoo on an alien world, but now Krystal (Bella Dayne) has huge
problems trying to adjust to living in a cell dressed up as a mock
Victorian room with a fake dog and mannequin husband, only allowed to
mingle with other humans at feeding time, which follows a strict ritual
though, and when one of Krystal's co-exhibits (Leith M. Burke) breaks one
of the rules by sharing food with her just out of pure kindness, he's
punished by the keepers. Now this is somewhat like the last straw for
Krystal - but if she wants to escape, where would she go? A
pretty cool work of dystopian science fiction that does a great job
juxtaposing the rather downbeat plot with its gaudy mock-Victorian
costumes and sets, while injecting the whole thing with a healthy dose of
gallows humour. And Bella Dayne's very relatable performance really brings
this to life.
